Summer Lacrosse returns to Guilford College in the second annual Quaker Lax Camp.  Join Coach Z and Guilford College Coach Andy Rowe for an overnight camp at beautiful Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina.   This camp begins on Sunday, July 13 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.  The camp ends at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, after a morning of intense scrimmages.  This camp is ideal for any level player, as the facilities at Guilford accomodate several fields for different playing levels.  Teams are welcome, and you can contact Coach Z about team rates.  During the morning and afternoon sessions, campers work on skill sessions that lead up to nightly competitive scrimmages.

Coach Andy Rowe is a graduate of Ohio Weselyn where, during his distinguished playing career, he scored 100 goals and 24 assists.  He was named to the 2003 North South All Star Game, where he scored the winning goal for the South Team.  He was also named as an Honorable Mention All-American.  He has greatly improved the winning percentage at Guilford College, where the Quakers had limited success in the 1990s.  In his two seasons, he has restored the program to a competitive level in the ODAC conference, including impressive league wins over the past several seasons.  The 2008 addition of the Quakers holds great promise, with over twenty returning letter winners and many talented freshmen.

Guilford College is an ideal spot for a lacrosse camp, as the campus is safe and all camp related activities are within easy walking distance.  Campers stay in air-conditioned Bryan Hall and can enjoy a swim in the Regan Brown Athletic Building's Acquatic Center.  Campers enjoy a small coach to staff ratio, and there is a special emphasis on developing many important skills that will help your son in the spring.  Meals are served at Founder's Hall, which is 100 yards from the dorm.  All campers are required to stay on campus for the entire camp, which should not be a problem....they will be tired from all the lacrosse!
